Connotations: what we understand from this image

Demographic: way of categorizing the population by age/money/occupation
Target: set of customers whom it directs it marketing efforts
Gatekeeping: a term which is applied to the editing and filtered process were decisions are made to let some information 'pass through' to the receiver (audience) and other information remains barred
